AMD's Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card featuring an RDNA 3 GPU with 16 GB memory is rumored to launch this week, reports Momomo_US.

[UPDATE]: It is now reported (via ITHome) that AMD's Radeon RX 7900 GRE will be unveiled officially at ChinaJoy 2023, which will be held on 28th July. The company has released "Game ON AMD" promotional banners which hint towards the GPU launch.

For a quick recap, AMD's Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) RDNA 3 GPU is scheduled to launch in accordance with a Chinese festival and also be an exclusive launch for the Chinese retail market. We got a better look at one of the variants from Sapphire a few days back and it looks like the card is indeed real, more details here.

The AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16 GB graphics card is expected to come with a massive triple-fan and triple-slot cooler. The particular variant that surfaced was the Sapphire Nitro+ hence the RX 7900 GRE and will feature a very similar design as the RX 7900 XT but with a couple of changes. The card is powered by dual 8-pin connectors and features a BIOS switch, an ARGB header, and a Fan-In connector.

Moving on to specifications, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE will feature 16 GB GDDR6 memory with 84 RDNA 3 compute units. Moreover, it is highly rumored that the upcoming GPU will feature a new Navi configuration, presumably a hybrid between the Navi 31 and Navi 32 chipset. As disclosed by PCGamesHardware, the GPU will come at 300W TGP with a boost clock of up to 2395 MHz.

We haven't received an official figure for the GPU pricing, but it is expected to be lower than the Radeon RX 7900 XT, which currently retails for $849 US as its official MSRP. The Radeon RX 7900 GRE will reportedly launch on 28th July in China only, and a global launch seems unlikely though similar spec'd variants may arrive in the global retail channel later.
